Kindra Lynn Gromelski Kirkeby 2004
Kindra, who has served as chairman of The Scholarship Fund’s Alumni Committee, is committed to helping today’s students as The Fund once assisted her. Her goal is to help build an alumni network of graduates of T.C.Williams.
Kindra came from a single-parent family in Alexandria. The scholarship she received in 1992 aided her in attending Emory University in Atlanta, where she majored in Philosophy and English. She attended law school at the College of William and Mary, where, among other activities, she was an editor of the women’s law journal.
After receiving her degree, she moved to Houston to work for Exxon Mobil Corporation. While there, she did pro bono work for women who could not afford a lawyer. Four years ago, Kindra had the good fortune to return home, when ExxonMobil transferred her to their Virginia office, where she has worked on Superfund litigation and is currently a member of the Fuels Marketing law group.
Kindra is serving as President-Elect of the William and Mary Law Alumni Board, and a member of the Junior League of Charlottesville. Now a member of the Virginia Bar, she looks forward to working with Virginia Volunteer Lawyers. She lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with her husband, Karl, and her son, Henry, and their two Weimaraners.
