The first SFA fundraiser of each school year—long ago dubbed The Clash of the Titans—is transforming into the Power of the Titans. Healthy competition between classes has been a great feature of the fall fundraiser, but bringing every alumni into the action harnesses an even greater power, The Power of the Titans. We think of it as THE super power of the mighty, mighty Titans, and the SFA is aspiring to even greater heights with the cool-headed collaboration of the vast alumni, beginning with the high school’s first class of 1967 through the Class of 2023. Your donation will make a difference.
October 4th is the highlight of the fundraising campaign with an All-Alumni Happy Hour taking place at Chadwicks of Old Town under the supportive and watchful eye of owner Trae Lamond .
The fundraiser is responsible for launching a 4-year renewable scholarship which will be called Power of the Titans Scholarship. The first recipient will be awarded the scholarship at the annual May 2024 SFA Awards Ceremony, assuring one additional Titan that they will be able to pursue their postsecondary dream. Last year 207 new scholars were awarded scholarships through the SFA. 100% of the funds raised will go directly toward the Power of the Titans Scholarship.
