Keeping it local. Giving through automatic payroll deduction.
THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND OF ALEXANDRIA (SFA) has been providing postsecondary advising and scholarships to Alexandria City High School seniors since 1986. At the heart of our mission is the hope that every eligible senior will receive needed funds to attend the college of their choice or pursue their chosen career. Each year, over 400 ACHS seniors apply for an SFA scholarship, and the funding fulfills the needs of over 200 awarded recipients. Additionally, SFA scholarships are renewed for those students with demonstrated financial need.
If 62 people give $2 per pay period, one more Alexandria City High School senior can pursue their postsecondary ambition through a renewable $3,000.00 scholarship, the Alexandria City Public Schools Employees Scholarship. Your payroll donation is 100% tax deductible through the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria.
More than 53% of families at ACHS receive federal assistance for free or reduced-price meals. We know that scholarships from the SFA can often mean the difference between a student affording college versus simply staying home.
You are in education because you care deeply about our students’ futures. Thank you for what you do because without your dedication and enthusiasm, ACPS students would face far greater obstacles.
Tickets to the 2025 SFA Gala & Auction!
2 tickets (for new enrollees only)—a festive evening including a delicious dinner and dancing! Randomized drawing takes place one month in advance of gala. Notification via email.
The SFA proudly partners with ACPS to support the very students you care so deeply about. Thank you for considering initiating an automatic payroll deduction. The process is as straight forward as completing the form, but the resulting funds will show another student that their postsecondary dream is within their reach.
