At its April 28th Black Tie Spring Benefit Gala, The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria celebrated its 32nd year of providing college scholarships to Alexandria public school students with financial need. The Gala, the largest in the event’s history, raised more than $400,000 to support scholarships. This video, which aired during the gala, features a number of 2017 scholarship recipients who are thriving at colleges and universities across the country and a couple of former scholarship recipients who have gone on to great success and today are giving back by guiding ad advising students here at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria. Thanks to the generosity of the Alexandria community, The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria has awarded more than $14.5 million in scholarships and helped send more than 4,600 students to college.
