Ms. Alyssa Samuel currently serves the Director of College Advising and Scholarship Programming at The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria. Ms. Samuel holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Educational Studies from The College of William & Mary in 2015. Motivated by a passion to make college more accessible for traditionally underrepresented students, she has worked in the field of college access since graduation. Ms. Samuel first worked for the Horatio Alger Association before joining the Pennsylvania College Advising Corps.
As a college adviser, Ms. Samuel spent three years advising students on best-fit postsecondary pathways, college application and enrollment processes, and financial aid. Following her time with the Advising Corps, Ms. Samuel earned her Master’s Degree in Higher Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, an experience which allowed her to intern for two college access non-profit organizations—American Student Assistance (ASA) and Journey into Education & Teaching (JET).
