Annual Awards Ceremony Introduces Recipients to Donors
Each year the SFA Award Recipients are presented with their awards at the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Annual Awards Ceremony. This event is mandatory for all recipients and serves as the best opportunity for award recipients to meet the donors of their individual scholarships. Before the on-stage ceremony, every student and donor will meet and exchange information (the donor may ask “What are you thinking of as your major? Which college or career path have you chosen? Why?”) and you, the student, will have the chance to speak with them, asking them about when they decided to start your scholarship, what inspired them to do so, and some time to thank them in person! Whether it is an organization, an educational leader, or a family, their stories will inspire you as much as you will make an impression on them. Enjoy the time—it is a special evening.
Family members, friends, and the public are cordially invited to attend. A reception of light refreshments follows the ceremony.
Dress neatly—the event is recorded by ACPS. Immediately after the award is presented, recipients and donors will go backstage for a portrait.
